Lead Interior Designer
Cross Campus is redefining how today’s creative professionals work and interact. We design and operate a network of highly social, experience-focused collaborative work environments throughout Los Angeles.
As we add locations in Los Angeles and beyond, we are looking for a highly creative, forward thinking interior design / interior architecture lead to BUILD OUT our internal design studio.
The right candidate has a strong fundamental understanding of interior design principles, but isn’t afraid to push boundaries or question the status quo. This role is ideal for someone with an entrepreneurial bent whose primary passion is interiors but whose curiosity spans design disciplines from product to lighting to graphic design.
Our spaces are cutting edge – equal parts hotel, home, and office – so experience with hospitality environments (hotel, bar, restaurant) is a big plus.
—Collaborate with chief design officer to conceive new location concepts, aesthetics, and moods
—Work with project architect to develop layouts
—Responsible for implementing all aspects of new location design from concept to installation, including lighting, furnishing, and environmental graphics
—Oversee external consultants (e.g. lighting, acoustics)
—Generate and manage FF&E project schedules and track FF&E supply chain (lead times, quantities, finishes)
—Identify and select products and vendors that meet brand standards
—Lead the development of brand standards and best practices
—Minimum 3 years of experience in commercial interior architecture
—AS or BA Degree required, with a major in Interior Design or Architecture
—Self-directed with a high level of initiative, curiosity, and emotional maturity
—Highly resourceful problem solver and quick learner
—Ability to work both independently and cooperatively in a fast-paced environment
—Impeccable and concise communication and presentation skills, verbal and written
—Strong time management skills and experience managing multiple projects simultaneously
—High level of comfort working with project schedules (timelines, quantities, prices, SKUs, etc.)
—Proficient in the following programs: MS Office, Adobe Creative Suite, SKETCHUP, Rhino and Revit AutoCad. Comfortable with all things Google.
