Cross Campus was created to foster meaningful relationships and work-life balance between movers and shakers. After a few years in the business of balance, we know a thing or two, and we’re happy to share our tips and tricks with you.
Yoga workshops, meditation sessions, and CrossFit-style training, oh my! Members at Cross Campus have access to wellness opportunities like these, and more. You’ve heard this time and time again for a reason, but it bears repeating; physical training and mental and physical fitness go hand in hand due to the endorphins our body produces when we’re moving and grooving, or even sitting in silence. Endorphins lead to happiness, happiness leads to productivity, and productivity leads to a shorter day at the office.
With four Los Angeles locations and more to come, never grow bored with your workspace when you have the ability to work from sunny Santa Monica, bustling Downtown LA, peaceful Pasadena, or surfable South Bay. The right amount of change will keep you on your feet and keep monotony at bay.Unable to travel to our different locations? Don’t fret; you can easily move from your private office, to the shared space, to a conference room, to the kitchen, to the outdoor patio, and back if you’re a single location member.
If switching up your environment isn’t enough, maybe it’s time to take some time for yourself. Whether you take a half day, a full mental health day, a staycation, or a luxurious vacation to a far-away locale, unplugging from work will keep you happy and healthy. Avoid burnout when you take the time that you need to get yourself back on track, and when you’re ready to return, Cross Campus will welcome you back with open arms!
Don’t be the person who is glued to their inbox, the person who can’t go a few minutes without checking their email to put out whatever small fires or requests that have come their way. Schedule specific times during which you’ll check your email on a daily basis, make your coworkers aware of these times, and stick to them. You’ll be amazed at how much extra time you have in a day when you stop refreshing your inbox, and you’ll be surprised at how much you’re not missing by checking your inbox less.
As Oprah says, "'No' is a complete sentence." Yet, in our world of 24/7 connection and endless opportunity, we treat ‘no’ like an untouchable, only to be used in the most dire circumstances when we have no other option. That’s not how it should be.To be a happy, balanced member of society, it’s important to prioritize the most important people, events, and professional opportunities and say no to all others. When we don’t decline things that don’t benefit us or that could ultimately lead to burnout, we’re doing more harm than good. Don’t waste your time, don’t waste others’ time, and embrace the power of ‘no.’
Perfection is impossible, but balance is attainable, especially when you cowork at Cross Campus. We have event space, conference rooms, private offices, and shared workspaces of every size - schedule a free tour at any location today!
