Ask us about pitching a tent in one of our workspaces. We may be able to accommodate you.
That was the case on Tuesday, Feb 19th, as Rachelle Snyder and Ross Richmond (both seated), cofounders of camping gear rental startup Cooziegear.com, sponsored a social hour at Cross Campus Santa Monica.
Cooziegear allows users to rent outdoor gear and get it delivered to their door, anywhere in the US. The idea is to bring sporting equipment to the casual outdoors person— as opposed to the already-dedicated enthusiast.
“We created the company to make it as easy as possible for people to get outside,” said cofounder Rachelle Snyder. “You never have to own your own gear again.”
The Santa Monica-based startup, backed by leading local tech incubator Science, has been in operation for almost two years. Snyder added that the name “coozie” doesn’t refer to anything in particular. Rather: “We picked something that would spark whimsy and joy,” she said.
