Join us for a panel discussion held at the Northrop Grumman Space Parks E2 Ramo Theater in Redondo Beach, that examines the influence of arts and humanities on science and technology, and vice versa, seeks to understand historical and contemporary art movements that have informed multiple disciplines, and their interconnectedness.

Ribera d’Ebre, along with humanities advisor, Autumn Breon, an artist and curator who graduated from Stanford University and studied Aeronautics and Astronautics, Rick Carter, a two-time Academy award winner for production design for the films Avatar and Lincoln, and Justine C. Key, a speculative fiction writer, will lead the discussion through a nuanced lens of social commentary, experience and expertise.

FUTURISMS OF SPACE TRAVEL: INSPIRATION encourages the audience to learn about the art movements and disciplines that have directly inspired one another to conclude where we are today: privatized space exploration. If commercial space travel and space habitats are humanity’s final frontier, all sectors of the human population will have to be taken into consideration to ensure the surviva
