Santa Monica Chamber of Commerce's Back to Business Series and Cross Campus Presents...

Solutions for PR and Marketing During a Pandemic, Social Unrest

Join us some of the industry’s leading PR & Marketing professionals for an honest discussion about the realities of marketing and PR in a world hit by a double crisis - first, the Covid-19 shutdown and phased reopenings and second, the social unrest brought to the fore in 2020.

Speakers include Spin PR's Kim Koury (food & beverage), Kim Marshall of The Marshall Plan (hospitality/wellness/sustainability), and Ariana Hernandez of Nora Agency (fashion/retail/influencer marketing).

- Hear case studies from companies who have pivoted, adapted and continue to move forward in this new normal.
- Understand the value of a cohesive message and the importance of resiliency, authenticity and community building in this unprecedented time.
- Hear examples of companies who are embracing Love as a Business Strategy and the power of Optimism in Healing.

Companies are invited to send questions in advance and our experienced panelists will try and address specific issues and share best practices. Email questions to Kim@themarshallplan.com

Questions that will be discussed:

Why do you need PR during a Pandemic?

How do you keep a consistent message when things are constantly changing?

How has PR changed since the shutdown and the Black Lives Matter protests?

What types of messaging are you creating for clients?

How often does that messaging have to change and be updated?

What’s the value of having a Crisis Communications Plan and / or Reopening Safely Marketing Plan these days?

How many people have a CC /Safety Reopening Marketing Plan?

What are top 3 PR / Marketing tips for Successful Reopening Strategies?

Best ways to address BLM (Black Lives Matter) or BIPOC (black, indigenous, people of color) initiatives or messaging into your PR & Marketing Plans

Should you continue Social Media during shutdowns/reopenings/protests?
